Aldo Rossano Graziati, known professionally as G.R. Aldo or simply Aldo, was a distinguished cinematographer and still photographer whose work left an indelible mark on mid-century European cinema. Before transitioning to director of photography on seminal post-war masterpieces such as Luchino Visconti’s La Terra Trema (1948) and Senso (1954), Graziati worked extensively as a set photographer in France during the 1930s and 1940s.
